Lyon County IT to buy hardware and software to meet CJIS multi-factor authentication rules

Williams told the commission, "This is to cover a federal government mandate involving the CJIS compliancy." He also said there will be an annual renewal fee of approximately $8,400 and the I.T. Department will budget for that cost going forward.
Commissioners voted 3-0 to approve the CDW-G purchase (motion Bartel/Duft). The meeting minutes indicate the cost of the badges was considered low enough for I.T. to purchase without separate commission action.
