Elk County OKs hazardous-waste agreement with neighboring Montgomery County

Public Works Director Don Sanders presented an intergovernmental agreement with Montgomery County to allow Elk County participation in household hazardous waste services. The commission approved the agreement by a recorded motion that carried 2-0.
Sanders also requested that Rural Fire put up a fence around the county yard in Howard and asked for an executive session to discuss an employee review; the fence request was noted and the commission recessed for related executive sessions later in the meeting.
Following an executive session on non-elected personnel, the board approved a merit increase for Public Works employee Todd Winscher from $22.56 per hour to $23.56 per hour, a change the minutes state will max out his pay scale. The motion to approve the merit increase carried 2-0.
