Commissioners approve board appointments, hires and wage adjustments

The Commissioners approved several personnel and board-appointment actions on May 19. They appointed Alonzo Galindo to a three-year term on the Grant County Fair Board to replace Jennifer Hegwood and appointed Michael Tarbet to the Rodeo Board to replace Ryan Rice, who resigned; both appointments passed unanimously.
After recessed executive sessions for personnel matters, the board approved a new part-time EMS hire, three seasonal Road & Bridge rehires with a wage increase, two additional wage increases at Road & Bridge, and two seasonal rehires plus one new seasonal Civic Center employee. Commissioners also voted to donate $500 to the Grant County Chamber for the 4th of July fireworks display. All recorded personnel and donation motions carried unanimously.
