Chief Judge Curtis Brown and Recovery Court Coordinator Teresa Greenwood told the commission that the recovery court program received a Specialty Court Funding award totaling $25,211.50.
Brown and Greenwood said the funding will support training, a software application, fuel incentives, gift cards and behavioral-therapy supports for participants. Judge Brown noted the program has had 73 graduations and invited the commissioners to attend future graduation ceremonies.
The presentation was informational; commissioners did not take a separate vote on the grant announcement. The recovery court representatives framed the award as supporting program operations and participant incentives.
