The Board of Cherokee County Commissioners met Sept. 8, 2025, in the Commission Room at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Columbus. Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier presided; Commissioners Jack Garner and Cory Moates were present. The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Cory Moates moved and Commissioner Jack Garner seconded approval of the Aug. 29, 2025 minutes; the motion passed unanimously. During the meeting the board approved several routine items including the hire of a Road and Bridge utility operator and the adoption of Resolution 22-2025 amending the county's 2023 Neighborhood Revitalization Program. The board also approved an Extension Office certificate of appropriation limited to the county appropriation of $252,622.
