The Clark County Rural Zoning Commission on Feb. 12 recommended approval of Rezoning Case Z-2026-02 to change 0.5 acres at 12067 W. National Road from A-1 (Agricultural) to B-3 (General Business) to permit a used car sales lot for two to 20 cars. Mrs. Greta Sprague moved to recommend approval and Mr. Larry Shaffer seconded; the motion passed unanimously among members present.
During the public hearing, applicant Danny McFadden said he had met with ODOT and that "the representative was fine with everything that was proposed." Staff told the commission that ODOT would allow another access point provided a fence separates the hair salon from the car lot, and that the applicant must obtain BZA variances (rear setback and gravel parking), Health Department site approval for any expansion and an engineered stormwater management report approved by the engineer’s office before development proceeds.
