The Clark County Rural Zoning Commission voted on Feb. 12 to recommend approval of Rezoning Case Z-2026-01, which seeks to change 0.67 acres at 12055 W. National Road in Bethel Township from B-2 (Community Business) to B-3 (General Business). The motion, made by Larry Shaffer and seconded by Greta Sprague, passed with Shaffer, Sprague and Cindy Gracy voting yes and no recorded opposition.
Staff said the hair salon is an allowed use under the existing business zoning categories and that the parcels were combined after the application, creating a 1.17-acre site overall. Staff recommended approval for 12055 with the condition that a front-setback variance from SR 235 be approved by the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) before finalization. The commission’s recommendation follows a Planning Commission recommendation and staff review of zoning and site considerations.
