Board approves contracts for speech and language services for 2024–25 school year

The contracts announced at the meeting were Ascend Rehab Services, Inc., for $158,400 and Speech Pathology Assessment & Intervention Services, PC, for $136,740. During the motion, staff corrected a public wording to note contracts would serve multiple students rather than only two. Trustee Boulay moved to approve the contracts, Trustee Daniels seconded, and the board approved the item on a 5-0 vote.
District staff indicated the awards respond to Individualized Education Program requirements and are part of the district’s effort to meet student needs for the coming school year.
