Asset Control Manager Diana Allen presented surplus sales and FY27 bid materials and asked the Court to approve items for online auction and bid/co-op purchases. The Court unanimously approved surplus sales through Rene Bates Online Auction and other auction venues and approved the FY27 Bid List, Bid Extension List and Cooperative/Exemption lists as presented.
Judge Clark emphasized parameters for towing-rotation vendors: companies must be readily available in the county, offer fair pricing, and have the actual equipment needed at the scene; the bid is co-awarded to multiple companies when appropriate. The Court also approved requests for equipment purchases (including a used excavator for Precinct No. 4) and allowed co-op purchasing options for a one-ton or larger truck for Precinct No. 2.
