Commissioners approve county bills, treasurer reports, bonds and agree to conduct 2025 audit

Ward County Commissioners' Court approved payment of county bills and accepted officers' reports during the Oct. 27 meeting. The payment-of-bills motion was moved by Commissioner Eddie Nelms and seconded by Commissioner Billy Redmon and recorded as unanimously adopted.
The court also approved the treasurer's monthly report and quarterly investment report, approved an increase in the County Judge's bond and approved the County Auditor's bond. Judge Greg M. Holly and Commissioner Eddie Nelms moved and seconded motions to acknowledge the 2024 audit and to approve an agreement with Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss L.L.P. for the 2025 county audit; both audit-related motions were adopted unanimously. The minutes record these routine financial and audit-related approvals but do not include verbatim financial schedules.
