Commissioners award furniture and managed video services contracts; other bids deferred

At its June 23, 2025 meeting the Ward County Commissioners' Court approved multiple procurement actions related to the new sheriff's office and jail. The Court awarded a contract to Total Office Solutions for furniture and awarded managed video (cable) services at the jail to Hosted America; both awards were adopted unanimously.
During the same procurement period the Court considered a bid for road work on Eva Street from Pando Construction, but that motion died for lack of a second and no action was taken. The Court also considered bids for renovations to the old community center (to convert it to a Senior Citizen Center) and deferred action on those renovation bids at the meeting.
