Public Works reports $192,426.82 in Kansas tax credit funds, reissues door bid and hires assistant supervisor

Public Works Administrator Jeremie Myers and Administrative Services Manager Kalyn Ross told the commission that $192,426.82 in Kansas tax credit funds were deposited into the county CIP fund and that no bids were received for the Courthouse Boiler Room double door project; staff will re‑contact contractors to obtain bids.
They also reported a storm assessment with KDEM for project 4‑15 (June 2026) and confirmed Road & Bridge has hired Wayne Carter as Assistant Supervisor. Myers and Ross said staff plan to attend the KDOT Innovative Technology Summit on Aug. 19 in Lawrence.
