Finance Director Tami Robison presented monthly financials to the commission July 6, reporting a joint daily balancing sheet with the Treasurer's Office of $41,790,370.27. She said projected 2026 unencumbered cash stood at $473,036.78 and projected 2026 cash without reserves was $2,632,810.01 at midyear.
Robison also presented a sales tax update showing 65.39% of expected general fund collections and 53.83% of hospital-dedicated tax collections at the midyear point. She described NACO grant opportunities but cautioned the board these federal grant programs would require significant administrative oversight and "can be stopped at any time the Federal Government chooses to end it," as recorded in the minutes.
Robison's presentation prompted no formal vote but fed into the afternoon budget work session where staff requested additional clarifications and scheduled further review.
