Sheriff’s Office gets new in‑car 5G routers, radar equipment and dispatching contract with Tremont City

The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved multiple items for the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 11.
A contract with AT&T Mobility for $21,573 will supply Cradlepoint IBR 980 5G routers to provide internet service in sheriff cruisers; the purchase is funded from the Permanent Improvement fund. Separately, the board authorized a $48,838 purchase from Stalker Radar Applied Concepts Inc. for 15 DSR 2 antenna radars (36-month warranty) and two batteries/chargers (24-month warranty).
The commission also approved a $1,000-per-year contract with the Village of Tremont City for police dispatching services, effective Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028. Each purchase and contract was moved and seconded by commissioners and carried on roll call votes recorded in the agenda.
