Hemphill County Commissioners approved the Oct. 31, 2025 Budget and Financial Report and a budget amendment at their Nov. 10 meeting. Commissioner Tim Alexander moved to approve the budget report and the motion carried unanimously.
Judge Lisa Johnson presented a budget amendment increasing the State Supplement and County Attorney Salary Supplement accounts by $2,918 each; the court approved the amendment on a unanimous vote. The court approved computer-generated and hand-stamped bills; an invoice from Nick Thomas Inc. for $992.00 for concrete work at the airport was approved with Commissioner Nicholas Thomas recorded as abstaining, and an invoice from Schafer Services for $200.00 for contract labor at the Sheriff's Office was approved with Commissioner Dale Schafer recorded as abstaining.
