Hemphill County extension agent to retire; replacement expected to take six to eight months

Extension Agent Andy Holloway announced he will retire effective Dec. 31, 2025, during the Nov. 10 commissioners meeting.
Andy presented a State of the County report and said his last day will be Dec. 31, 2025. District Extension Administrator Joshua Brooks told the court replacing Andy could take time: "the process will likely take about six to eight months," and the plan is to hire in-house. Extension Agent Tanya Holloway also presented Family and Community Health and 4‑H Youth Development reports and discussed upcoming events.
