Commissioners approve hires, promotions and salary-board rate increases

The board approved multiple hires, promotions and Salary Board actions including creation of a Buildings and Grounds Manager position and hourly rate increases for certified 911 dispatchers.
At its Oct. 14 meeting the Tioga County commissioners approved several personnel actions recorded in the minutes. Approved hires included Angela Perry and Andrew Lee as clerks in the Prothonotary & Clerk of Courts Office at $14.50/hr.; Megan Wood as MDIT Coordinator in the District Attorney’s Office at $51,000/yr.; and the part-time hire of Malachi Dodge as a Voter Registration Clerk at $16.00/hr. The board approved the hire of Danielle Losinger as Head Nurse at Tioga County Prison at $30.00/hr. and promoted Jason Patterson to Buildings and Grounds Manager at $20.00/hr.
During the concurrent Salary Board meeting (adjourned 10:51 a.m.), the board created the Buildings and Grounds Manager position in Support Services and added a Legal Assistant position in the District Attorney’s Office at $21.00/hr. It also approved a $1.00/hr. increase effective 9/21/25 for Brady Streich and Susan Slocum, 911 dispatchers who completed training, and a $1.00/hr. increase for Valerie Bechtel for attaining a County Staff Associate Certification from PEMA.
