The Tioga County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Dec. 9 to adopt Resolution R-21-25, fixing the county's 2026 real-property tax rate at 4.07 mills per $1,000 for general and debt purposes. The resolution was signed by Commissioners Marc Rice, Shane Nickerson and Sam VanLoon.
The resolution states the tax rate is levied "on all real property within Tioga County subject to taxation for the fiscal year 2026" and repeals any conflicting resolutions "insofar as the same affects this resolution." Commissioners completed the formal adoption during the morning session and the minutes record the measure as duly adopted on Dec. 9, 2025. No vote tallies beyond the unanimous 3–0 result were recorded in the minutes.
