Commissioners approve $83,586 in Human Services and Supports Program funding

The Tioga County Board of Commissioners on May 13 unanimously approved Fiscal Year 2025–2026 Human Services and Supports Program recommendations totaling $83,586.
The approved allocations list includes $33,806 for Wellspring Mobile Social Rehabilitation, $20,000 for Area Agency on Aging Meals on Wheels, $8,280 for Partners in Progress PIP Camp, $7,500 for Family Services Association of NEPA, $7,000 for the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health’s online directory, $5,000 for Trehab Housing Services’ housing specialist and $2,000 for Area Agency on Aging Emergency Services. Commissioner Sam VanLoon moved the funding package and Commissioner Shane Nickerson seconded; the board recorded three ayes and no nays.
The board motion noted the county’s intent to support direct social services and community health resources across the county. The action authorizes county staff to execute any required agreements related to these awards. No opposition or amendments were recorded at the May 13 meeting.
