County staff to seek multiple CJCC and safety grants, including a $1.9M law‑enforcement request

Hill Daniel requested permission to apply for a $43,784 FY26 CJCC Enhancement and Innovation grant with a county match of $7,727 for comprehensive off‑site drug testing, confirmation testing and transportation support for accountability‑court participants through mid‑2026. He said roughly $23,100 would support comprehensive testing and $19,964 would help transportation costs.
Jasper (mental‑health court) said his office seeks $28,280 with a match of $4,991 for confirmation testing, expanded deputy‑led home checks and weekend/holiday screening; Jasper also requested the FY26 Law Enforcement Officer grant for all four courts—"We're just requesting $1,919,090 dollars, and there is no match for this grant," he said—proposing GPS monitoring for about 20 high‑risk participants and expanded weekend screening. Staff also reported an ACCG safety grant award of $2,500 for ergonomic equipment, a Homeland Security EOD K9 grant of about $14,278 to replace equipment and a Stop the Bleed kit allocation of $3,946.05; most items are to be taken up at the evening meeting.
