The Iron County Memorial Building Committee met Feb. 9, 2026, in the Memorial Building and approved its month-end financial report showing a profit-and-loss deficit of $2,604.83 and a cash balance of $27,718.03 as of Dec. 31, 2025. Committee members reported that two 1099s were completed, $90 was paid to file for the year, and the $15 annual fee has been paid.
A motion to approve the financials was made by Opie and seconded by Roxanne Lutgen; the motion carried. Committee members noted there is not yet a bill from the contractor who services the furnace. Doug Swartz said he will visit Xcel in person to review credits and statements to determine the expected heat-adjustment refund. The minutes record that Opie said Karen will be done running the bowling alley; Roxanne Lutgen will draft a letter confirming a verbal lease termination reported by the tenant, and Opie will follow up with a written termination and arrange final move-out. The committee scheduled a walk-through of the bowling alley at next month’s meeting.
