Chair Youngs announced the retirement of Veteran Service Officer Eric Nassi and introduced Gerard Randall as the county’s new Veterans Officer. The Register of Deeds office reported two resignations and interim staffing solutions are being explored. The clerk and treasurer will start the tax‑deed process next month with assistance from County Corporation Counsel; the board reviewed the checklist used for tax deed proceedings.
The board also discussed the tax lister position and the potential move of tax lister duties to the Forestry Department. In addition, the board approved the Emergency Fire Warden Organization list required under Wisconsin Statutes 26.12(3) and 26.14(3). No public comment was recorded. The board set its next meeting for February 24, 2026 and adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
