Board authorizes multiple engineering-service contracts for water, sewer, landfill and stormwater work
Summary
Following staff review of 12 proposals, the Board authorized contracts with multiple engineering firms to provide general and specialized services for water distribution, sanitary sewer, landfill environmental support, stormwater management and related engineering needs.
Director of Finance Rebecca F. Guthrie told the Board staff received twelve proposals for general and specialized engineering services covering design and contract administration for water and sewer, landfill gas and groundwater monitoring, stormwater and VDEQ permitting, transportation and site development.
On behalf of the Finance Committee, the Board authorized contracts with multiple firms (including Timmons Group, Thompson & Litton, Monteverde Engineering, Valley Engineering, McGill Associates and others) to provide services in categories identified by staff. Contracts cover a range of service areas and will be used as needs arise under task orders or individual scopes.
