Erika Roeder, Zoning Department Administrator, reported that 2025 closed 35 fewer permits than the previous year, but said permit applications for 2026 are currently 14 ahead of where the department was at the same time last year.
Roeder told the committee staff are working to set up software so residents can apply and pay online by credit card. She also said staff plan modest office changes, including a counter work area for residents and the relocation of IT into a vacant office, to improve efficiency for both staff and residents. No formal action or budget appropriation for the office work was recorded at the meeting.
