Sam Bocessi (West County) used public comment to urge faster delivery of traffic signals at Gasparilla Road intersections (Rotonda East and Ingram), reported delays and local safety concerns, and said the Rotunda Boulevard South construction remains held up in FEMA/Army Corps review. "We just heard the other day that it's now October 2026 for a start of those," Bocessi said about signal work and urged the MPO to sign opposition letters to proposed MPO consolidation bills.
Earlier in the meeting the board tabulated ballots and appointed James Kennard to the Citizens Advisory Committee. The chair announced a 5–0 vote to approve the appointment and thanked applicants for their interest in serving.
