Staff briefed the board on the draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) covering FY 2026–2031 and a draft list of project priorities submitted to FDOT. The TIP includes highway, aviation and transit projects and must display federally required performance measures; staff said they will receive an updated FDOT work‑program snapshot on April 3 and return the draft for approval on May 18.
Within the project priorities list staff highlighted Harborview Road (split into segments) with Segment 1 shown in the county CIP at $91,000,000. Staff also reviewed transportation alternatives (sidewalks and multi‑use trails) and freight projects, including a US‑17 freight submission for PD&E. Board members discussed coordination on signalization, crosswalks, and right‑of‑way work with FDOT and local partners.
