Board tables Ag Center tractor purchase; SPLOST projects for Ag Center and 4-H discussed

Lucy Ray, Director of the Ag Extension, asked to reallocate part of the Ag Center's capital project funds to purchase a tractor and install gutters. The Board did not act immediately and instead tabled the request to Unfinished Business at the April 7, 2026 BOC meeting for further review.
Separately, staff and commissioners discussed SPLOST-funded projects approved by voters in 2024 that include updates to the Ag Center and construction of a Morgan County 4-H Shooting Sports building to serve archery and BB teams. Staff noted the Ag Center was built in 1988 and needs updates, including improvements to the concession stand. The discussion was informational and no motion was made on the SPLOST projects.
