Police Jury approves Final Change Order No. 7 for North Sewer System, adds $65,248.06 and 23 days
Summary
Final Change Order No. 7 for Project No. 2021-128 (North Sewer System Improvements, Contract B) was approved, increasing the contract by $65,248.06 and extending the contract by 23 days; staff attributed the increase mainly to remobilization costs after a ~one-year delay by AEP and additional dirt work required by the Bossier Levee District.

Parish Engineer Eric Hudson presented Final Change Order No. 7 for Project No. 2021-128, noting a reconciliation that results in a net contract increase of $65,248.06 and an additional 23 days to the total contract time. Hudson said the primary cause of the change is remobilization costs after an approximate one-year delay for American Electric Power to install service in the area, and that additional dirt work required by the Bossier Levee District was an unforeseen issue.
Jurors voted to approve the final change order and authorized execution of related documents. Juror Philip Rodgers asked whether staff had viewed remaining punch list items, and Hudson said staff would evaluate specific addresses during the 45-day lien period.
