Parish Engineer Eric Hudson told the jury that Project No. 2025‑117 (Bossier Parish Libraries administration building renovation) is substantially complete with only punch‑list items remaining; on motion by Pam Glorioso the jury accepted the Certificate of Substantial Completion and authorized execution of documents.
The jury also authorized an additional $200,000 from the Libraries Capital Improvements Fund to replace the HVAC system at Benton Library, approving a resolution to execute documents for the expenditure. Libraries staff described the Summer Reading Program (beginning in June; participants register and keep a 10‑day reading log each month) and introduced 'Check Out Louisiana,' a collaboration with the Louisiana State Library System and State Parks that allows patrons to check out a backpack with park‑visit items and, in some cases, a park pass.
