Committee receives Brown Act copies and ethics training reminders

IHSS Public Authority staff Luis Valdivia told the committee that the Clerk of the Board requested distribution of the California Brown Act 2026 and that printed copies were handed out and an email with the link was previously sent to members.
Valdivia quoted the new statutory requirement: "A local agency shall provide a copy of this chapter to any person elected or appointed to serve as a member of a legislative body of the local agency," citing Government Code Section 54952. He also reminded members that ethics training is required every two years and that members will be notified electronically by Napa County when training is due.
