JJCC approves minutes and recommends two membership appointments to Board of Supervisors

The Napa County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council on Jan. 21, 2026, approved the Sept. 17, 2025 regular meeting minutes. The motion to approve was made by Oscar Ortiz and seconded by Amanda Bevins; Allison Haley and Cassandra Eslami recorded abstentions and the motion carried.
The council also moved on two membership recommendations. The body voted to recommend Josh Shultz for the County Office of Education representative vacancy (motion by Oscar Ortiz; second by Jennifer Yasumoto) and voted to recommend Kerry Ahearn for reappointment as the representative from a community-based drug and alcohol treatment program (motion by Oscar Ortiz; second by Amber Twitchell). Both recommendations will be forwarded to the Napa County Board of Supervisors for consideration; the JJCC’s role is advisory and the Board makes final appointments.
