Ward County adopts non-transferable reservations policy for county facilities

The Ward County Commissioners' Court on July 28 adopted revisions to the county's facility reservations policy (Exhibit A), establishing that reservations are non-transferable and that the reserving party must be present while the facility is in use.
Exhibit A, attached to the minutes, states: "Reservations for the use of Ward County facilities are NON-TRANSFERABLE." It goes on to instruct that if a reserving party decides not to use the reservation they should cancel it so the facility can be rented to another party, and warns that anyone attempting to sell, raffle or otherwise transfer a reservation "may be prevented from renting facilities from Ward County in the future." The policy change was adopted by unanimous vote as recorded in the minutes.
The minutes attach Exhibit A as the formal policy; county staff are responsible for implementing the non-transferability requirement and updating reservation procedures.
