FCFC updates Shared Plan goals and schedules community health events and baby shower

Director Megan Gruber reported that Shared Plan updates are due Feb. 15 and reiterated targets the council will pursue, including increasing kindergarten readiness by 5% and expanding Help Me Grow caseloads to full capacity.
Members discussed goals for mental-health training, infant safe-sleep screening and the Service Coordination Mechanism (SCM) document. Sharon Gibbs provided Help Me Grow updates and the council confirmed several community events: a Community Health Fair at Grace on June 6 (8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), Picnic in the Park at Eyman on June 22, a Community Fair at Jeffersonville Pool on July 7 (July 28 rain date) and a Community Baby Shower on Aug. 6 at Washington Middle School. A virtual planning meeting for the baby shower is scheduled for Feb. 17, with a Health Fair committee meeting Feb. 26 at Medical Arts.
