Salary Board approves pay increases, academy pay rates and a reclassification

The Tioga County Salary Board met at 10:22 a.m. on June 10 and unanimously approved several compensation and classification actions. The board approved a $1.00 per hour increase for Stacey Champaign (Judicial Line Staff, Probation) effective May 19, 2025 per the union contract.
The board also approved an hourly rate of $21.12 effective May 19, 2025 for Adam McHugh and for Rece Chapman following graduation from the Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Academy. It approved a $0.50 per hour increase to $17.90 for Nikki Killingstad, Senior Case Aide, effective June 15, 2025. The Salary Board voted to reclassify the position of part‑time Administrative Director of Planning, Assessment & Tax Claim to full‑time Administrative Director of Planning. All Salary Board motions passed unanimously (three ayes, no nays).
