During public comment, J. McGovern urged the board to mark the upcoming 250th anniversaries and to recognize Windsor’s historical role. He said Windsor should take part in events commemorating both the founding of the United States (2026) and the founding of the Republic of Vermont (2027).
"Windsor should celebrate this anniversary since it was the Birth Place of Vermont," J. McGovern said, asking the Selectboard to consider town involvement in statewide commemorations. The comment was delivered during the public-comment portion of the meeting and did not result in board action at this session.
