Board approves MOU with Mountain House for school resource deputy through 2027

The board approved a memorandum of understanding with the City of Mountain House to continue school resource deputy (SRD) services from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. Superintendent Dr. Nicholas described the SRD program as effective and noted the district covers 50% of the deputy's salary while the city and sheriff's department cover the remainder.
Trustees clarified that the new MOU changes only the contracting party (now the City of Mountain House rather than the sheriff's department) and not the scope of the SRD position. The motion to approve the MOU passed unanimously.
