St. James Planning Commission approves five resubdivisions, all conditioned on health signoff and CAD delivery

Representatives requested simplifications or lot splits for Westbank Utility Office (0.661- and 0.835-acre tracts combined into Tract A-1), the Earline Falgoust Becnel property (Lot A & Lot 1 into Lot A-1 and Lot 1A), Rodrigue Planting Company (division into Lot RPC-1, RPC-2, CT-1 and CT-2), Chase Malbrough (Lot JL-4 and the Frank Rouseel tract into Lot A and Lot JL-4A), and David Duhon (1/3-arpent tract into Tract 3A and Remainder of Tract 3). Each approval was made with the condition that the parish health department approve the proposals and that applicants deliver the requested CAD file before finalization. The minutes record motions and seconders for each item (for example, Vice‑Chairman Arthur Matherne moved to approve the Westbank resubdivision; R. Becnel seconded) and roll calls showing affirmative votes among the present commissioners.
One resubdivision (David Duhon) also included a recommendation to grant a variance allowing a reduced-width access servitude due to the narrowness of the lot and existing building placement. All five motions were recorded as carried by roll call during the March 30 meeting. The approvals are administrative recommendations and will be subject to any subsequent permitting or recording requirements noted in the minutes.
