Committee requests legal review of 'EDF' contract, forwards budget amendment to full Council

The St. Bernard Parish Executive/Finance Committee on March 3, 2026 unanimously asked parish legal counsel to review the current “EDF” contract and to forward the findings to the Clerk of Council for distribution.
Committee Chair Gillis McCloskey made the request by unanimous consent during discussion of Summary No. 4338, an ordinance to amend Ordinance SBPC #2703-12-25 (the 2026 St. Bernard Parish Annual Operating and Capital Budget). The discussion of Summary No. 4338 was opened on a motion by Committee Member Joshua “Josh” Moran, seconded by Committee Member Amanda Mones.
After additional discussion, the committee moved to forward Summary No. 4338 to the full Council with a recommendation for approval. The forwarding motion was made by Amanda Mones, seconded by Joshua “Josh” Moran; the recorded YEAS were Moran and Mones and the Chair cast his vote as YEA. The motion was declared adopted on March 3, 2026.
