Commission approves two timber harvest operations with wetland protections

The Newgate Road operation (owned by R.C. Lapointe) will be an improvement cut over trap rock terrain; staff do not anticipate significant erosion given site conditions, and hay bales will be used near an intermittent drainage area if needed.
Keith Morris will conduct site inspections and coordinate with enforcement personnel to ensure wetland protection. Vice‑Chairman Glenn Neilson moved and Commissioner Ray Wilcox seconded to approve the logging operations as presented; the motion passed unanimously.
