The American Fork City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2026-01-03 approving the vacation of a portion of the public utility easement for property at 452 West 1060 North in the Lakeview Farms subdivision. Council Member Ryan Hunter moved the ordinance and Council Member Ernie John seconded; the motion passed with the council voting yes.
Property owner Blake Hunziker told the council the affected area is his backyard and that the request would reduce the easement on one side of the property from 10 feet to 5 feet to accommodate a proposed pool. Hunziker noted a hot tub already exists on the property and is located some distance from the proposed pool area. The council recorded the action as an ordinance adoption under the formal agenda.
