The Miami County Board of Commissioners accepted an MC Contracting bid of $24,459 to renovate the Germann (German) Street building, approving work to remove a loft in a pole barn, install new wiring, insulate and line the interior, bore a water line from a hydrant for ambulance washing, and install a kitchenette sink and cabinets. Commissioner Mark Horner made the motion to accept the bid and Commissioner Brenda Weaver seconded; the motion carried 3-0.
Separately, commissioners discussed a lease with Parkview. The deed to the property is currently held by MCEDA and must be transferred to the county by the county attorney before the lease is finalized; Parkview will arrange utilities and turn power on. Commissioners authorized Chair Keith Musselman to sign the lease once the deed and contract are finalized (motion Horner; second Weaver; vote 3-0).
