UTA to be governed by seven-member board starting July 1, three appointments announced

Jay Fox, Executive Director of the Utah Transit Authority, briefed JPAC on upcoming governance changes at UTA. Fox said that effective July 1, 2026, governance will shift to a seven-member part-time board of commissioners and that three of the seven members — Mike Caldwell, Jeff Silvestrini and Muriel Xochimitl — have already been named; the remaining four appointments will be announced later.
