The Big Bear City Community Services District Board on July 6 authorized the General Manager to execute a Right of Entry Agreement with the Big Bear Valley Unified School District Education Foundation (BVUSDEF) to permit temporary, non-exclusive access to parcels adjacent to Peery Reservoir for surveying and technical evaluations.
General Manager Glenn Jacklin told the Board the District is evaluating opportunities to expand groundwater production and storage capacity near the existing Peery Reservoir and needs access to the adjacent, undeveloped parcels owned by BVUSDEF to perform surveys and feasibility studies. "The proposed Right of Entry Agreement with BVUSDEF will grant the District temporary, non-exclusive access to the identified areas solely for conducting these surveys and evaluations," Jacklin said, adding that the agreement "does not authorize construction or any permanent use of the property."
The motion to approve the agreement was made by Director Al Ziegler, seconded by Director JoKay Rowe, and carried unanimously: AYES: B. ROWE, J. ROWE, RUSSO, WALSH, ZIEGLER. The Board authorized the General Manager to take necessary actions to implement the agreement’s terms.
