County to pursue meter/billing upgrades and a leak-detection meeting with Livingston County

Wyoming County staff reported plans for a meter-reading and billing software upgrade and said the topic will appear at the March/April Committee of the Whole. A. Bijl — listed in the minutes as GIS Technician — explained that if the Town of Bennington opts into a county meter-reading program it would need to adjust read frequency to match the county schedule.
The minutes also record that the Livingston County Water Authority extended an invitation for Wyoming County to attend a meeting regarding leak-detection services available to county water purveyors. The county still owns leak-detection equipment purchased in 2013, which the minutes say is becoming antiquated and beginning to have issues. No formal commitment to purchase new equipment was recorded at the meeting.
