Clay County, Washington County to discuss possible Clifton EMS partnership; Clay County EMS reports increased transports

Clay County commissioners placed a call to the Washington County Board of Commissioners to raise questions about whether Clay County might take over or support EMS service in the Clifton area and potentially partner with Clifton EMS. Scott Fisher, Clifton EMS Director, and Alec Trembath, Clay County EMS Director, were present for the call.
Alec Trembath reported the EMS department was on emergency run number 264 and that the department held a quarterly meeting to consider operational changes. The Board signed an event approval for four EMS employees to attend training in Wichita; training items mentioned in the minutes included IV pump training and a drafted protocol for circulatory devices.
