Board appoints Stephanie Olson to provisional Lammersville Joint Unified seat

The Lammersville Joint Unified School District Board of Education voted to appoint Stephanie Olson to a provisional at-large board seat, effective Dec. 18, 2024, the board announced Wednesday. The Chair stated the appointment will fill the vacancy left by Trustee Colin Clements and that the seat will cease to exist after the district moves to area voting in the November 2026 election.
The motion to appoint Olson was moved by Trustee David Pambo and seconded by Trustee Daniel. The Chair called for the vote and said, "The motion passes with 3 ayes and no nos." A staff member had earlier explained the provisional appointment "will serve until the statutory date of an ending of a board term in December 2026," and that the at-large seat will be eliminated when the district shifts to area-based seats in November 2026. The board then adjourned to closed session to discuss existing litigation.
