The Tioga County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 12 adopted Resolution R-14-25 authorizing the county to join the Pennsylvania Counties Health Insurance Purchasing Cooperative (PCHIPC) and enter the intergovernmental cooperation agreement. The resolution states the county’s intent to participate for an initial term of three years after agreeing to purchase one or more employee benefits through PCHIPC.
The resolution authorizes the chairman or vice-chairman, acting alone or together with the secretary or assistant secretary, to execute the agreement and related instruments and to take further actions necessary to implement the county’s participation. Chief Clerk Janice Chamberlain certified the resolution has been recorded in the minutes.
