The Bossier Parish Policy and Procedures Committee on June 3 approved a proposed Administrative Clerk job description intended to consolidate records maintenance, disposal and digitization across departments. Dr. Ken Ward, Parish Administrator, said the position is set at labor grade 15 and will also scan and digitize medical records for the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
Dr. Ward said the changes could reduce the parish's outside contract costs. "The cost savings for the medical records contract is approximately $2,000.00 per month," he said. The committee voted unanimously to approve the job description, and the item will be placed on the June 17, 2026 Regular Meeting agenda for final Police Jury action.
The motion to approve the job description was made by Mr. Glenn Benton and seconded by Ms. Pam Glorioso. No members opposed. The measure moves next to the full Police Jury, which will have the opportunity to review the job description and any implementing ordinances or budget adjustments.
