Commissioners approve joint aerial imagery funding; county share and LIDAR flight included

"Our portion of the joint funding agreement is, 60,400, but in addition, is the lidar which is a $125,005.85," staff said during the presentation and noted those funds would be drawn from SPLOST 5 countywide. Commissioners asked for scheduling details; staff said the flight and contracts would be scheduled once procurement documents are finalized and indicated a target calendar slot is expected in February 2026 for the flight.
The board moved, seconded and voted to approve proceeding with the joint funding agreement and to allow purchasing to finalize contracts and scheduling. Staff said they will correct any contract party naming errors prior to execution and will return follow‑up procurement documents to the board if required.
