The Commissioners' Court unanimously approved routine business items on Oct. 14, 2025. Commissioner Eddie Nelms moved and Commissioner Bitly Redmon seconded approval of payment of the county's bills; the motion passed unanimously. The Court also approved officers' reports and acknowledged a donation of $100 from Robert and Kim Westbrook to the Grandfalls library in memory of Kettie Acosta.
The Court approved the 2026 county holidays and Commissioners Court meeting schedule. It also approved the sheriff's request to trade in pistols for like-kind property. The Court considered a proposal to award construction of a swimming pool in Barstow but took no action on that item during the meeting. Finally, the court adjourned at 10:20 a.m. after a motion by Commissioner Guy Thames and a second by Commissioner Eddie Nelms passed unanimously.
These routine approvals were recorded by motion and are on file with the court clerk; the minutes do not include detailed vendor invoices, gift receipts, or the pool bid documents.
